  • Light purple walls & new beginnings.

    Last week we discovered that we had black mold behind our bed. My husband spent the weekend cleaning the wall & we decided that we should pick a new color for the bedroom.

    Other things have happened but I leave that up the greater good to sort out. We are safe now as is the four legged creature. That’s all that matters.

    I am still on the hunt for a job, that has changed. However, I am looking forward to applying for grad school in the Fall. I really want to make a difference & hopefully I will be able to?

    I hope you’ve noticed but I updated the theme on my blog. It was due, as the old theme was just that old. Till next time, stay safe.

  • Rainy & wet Summer

    So much for Summer this year we’re rained out. No, joke. It’s been pouring since we got back from our trip. We have One day of sunshine & then a whole week of rain. Not just showers mind you, rain that comes down in buckets.

    Summer what’s that? Locals like me know that, it may mean we have late Summer in August something I don’t mind. It’s easier to hike in August than it is in July.

    Less people on the trails & transit is back to running normally. Makes it much easier to get home after you’ve hiked. In July most of the popular trails are like walking in a long queue, something I don’t like at all.

    It’s rained for soo long I get surprised if it’s not in the forecast. Now, that says something. At least the temperature outside is above freezing so it’s wet to go out, just not cold.

  • A sad week

    Friday I found out that Roe/Wade had been over turned by SCOTUS, something that was only disheartening but also very sad. Saturday morning I woke up to a shooting in Oslo, by a terrorist.

    The country I idolised as a child & as a young adult has been wrecked, first by a corrupt & fraudulent president who put the action into place to reverse the basic human rights of women.

    To think I once stood up for that country & now see that I can no longer go back there to live. Too many rights have been reversed & democracy is under threat in a very literal sense.

    The country is holding by a thread & it’s very close to breaking. It frightens me immensely that an arm of the government would act so corrupt & so belligerently towards its own people. That frightens me most.

    By taking basic human rights away from women it’s turning into the handmaid’s tale in a very disturbing way. I will not be celebrating the 4th of July this year as there’s no reason to celebrate. First January 6th & then this, it makes me ill to think about a place I once idolised.
