We’re back from Germany & my 2 favorite cities are Cologne & Bremen. Frankfurt was too busy with tourists & the shopping area was just full of made in China stores.

The best part of Frankfurt was our lovely hotel next to the Convention center. They were wonderful, gave us a lunch the day we left & upgraded our room. How I love NH hotels, they really do an excellent job.

We took alot of trains too, a few ICE & IC & a regional train. I was glad each time we had our own food & drink on board & didn’t have to buy anything.

Bremen was good, we spent one day on bikes riding out to the dyke that protects the city, 22.5km round trip. It was good to be there but my emotions took over the last day but I processed what was going on & felt better.

It was good to go back & figure out the parts of Central Europe we do like & what we don’t. So happy to be home again with the dog & hubby.

Here I am sitting in my hotel that is mildly put crap. The staff is rude, service sucks & they had the audacity to hold 400 Euro on our card.

The only thing that’s good about this place is the location, other than that it sucks. The bed is an IKEA knock off that almost fell apart the other morning.

The door to our room is not secure so anyone can just push their way in. They supposedly “fixed” the door but it’s already lose again. Not acceptable.

Oh & the breakfast is 15 Euro & is cheap & lame. They gave us activia in a wasteful plastic container. Not gourmet or worth the Euro. It also came with cheap ham & cheese & a few jars of jam.

They also didn’t provide a safe for our passports & valueables. I am good on Belgium. Honestly not that impressed. But then again it takes alot to impress me & this hotel didn’t deliver.

So, in a little bit over a week I am traveling back to Germany, something I am nervous about & happy. It’s where I got very sick over 5 years ago, & it’ll be surreal to be back there & be healthy & stable. I think the trip will eye opening & fun.

Years ago I would never think that I could go back to a place I was having such a tough time in but to see it with clear eyes & mind. I will be bringing something to write on as it was recommended to me & it’ll be a way for me to proess being there.

It will be good to getaway for a little bit & see something else, like Brussels where I have never been. I hope to rent a bike & ride around the city while my sweetie is busy unfortunately working. I am looking forward to going to Frankfurt & shopping a little bit there.

The babies, Flekk will be going back to the farm he was at this Spring when we traveled. He will running around like a little happy doggo. So he will be well taken care of.

I am excited to be traveling again & no long haul flights this time. Yipeee!
