So, we just got back from vacation yesterday after 9 hours of driving. We saw some pretty scary drivers on the highway, that passed where there wasn’t passing zones, sped thru farms. SCARY drivers, the best was the 3 beemer drivers that passed us when we where north of the Artic Circle that passed us on the way to the ferry dock, they just ended up having a longer wait than we did. Lame.

The town we where in northern Norway had tourists, they where all over dressed & looked like idiots walking around the town in their hiking boots & pants. We only got half a day of rain & it wasn’t really raining, just spitting. We hiked Fagernes fjellet & climbed nearly 1000 meters in 3 hours. Very cool. The pictures from my previous post is taken from the top over looking the mountains & the town.

It was a good vacation, but boy am I happy to be home again. The last day of driving was the scariest & the weirdest. Some dude in a mobil home who was having engine issues signaled to pull over on the highway then proceeded to Freak when we passed him at 10 miles an hour. Again Lame. I think what the left the biggest impression on me was the way the people drove in the bobils as they say here, there mobil homes. There was one guy at a rest up above the Artic Circle who kept circling the rest area because there was Plenty of parking but he appeared to not know how.

The bobils & the trucks that drifted over into our lane where scariest on the trip. I was relieved yesterday when we pulled off our exit & into our driveway done with our trip. I am also happy we didn’t attempt to go to Lofoten this year, next time we’re up there maybe when it’s not July or fellesferie we’ll go. Till next time, stay in your lane, no drifting.

So, it’s the end of our vacation week up North. It’s been a breath of fresh air literally, mountain snow & some spectular views. Now, all that remains is the drive home.It’s been nice to be up North, walk familiar trails & see kind people that still remember me. I got the dirt on some hot gossip last week when I least expected it.Here’s some pictures of the mountains. Enjoy. Write more after I get home.

I am sitting here nearly packed for our trip north & thinking how grateful I am for my husband & our four legged creature. Right now it’s pouring cats & dogs outside for the first time in a long time, we finally got rain. We’re taking the four legged creature out for a stroll this afternoon in the downpour & I think he will love it.

Yesterday we had a small BBQ at our house & it was really chill, good conversations & laughter. That’s a simple thing & for that I am grateful. I am looking forward to the car ride up north & to see friends again, I have not seen for a few years. It will be fun to catch up & see what has happened since we moved south.
