What’s the best advice you’d give to someone younger than you?
I feel like the kids today don’t know what boredom is. They’re constantly on their devices that their parents have given them. If I was a parent my child would not have an Internet enabled phone.
Boredom is healthy as it promotes creativity. Teenagers are doing poorly with their reading/writing skills something that doesn’t surprise me in the slightest.
I feel that the adults in these kids lives need to remove the devices until they’re in high school or at least 16. I’d give the advice to their parents to remove their devices for up to 4 hours a day.
By teaching a child what boredom is you teach them the ability to read & draw do other things besides being on their phones. My favorite feature on my phone is the do not disturb button. I use it often when I want to be present.
Put down your phone!
