• flareDay

monday is finished, i am between training and getting my life back together after nearly a year of not knowing where i’d end up. right now i am dealing with my chronic fatigue-today, i am flared(translates into muscle pain, and exhaustion) i spent the morning catching up on sleep that i had lost the night before. transitional housing is not warm and fuzzy, as it’s a temporary environment that i am in. i have my bedding from storage, a few sweaters for winter, very little of my clothes as most of it is still in storage.

i try to take everything a day at a time-one moment at a time. i can’t make it if i start thinking about what i don’t have, rather than what i do. when i was in the homeless shelter i had to take things a day at a time. i became edgy and uncomfortable even around the people i love. part of it was the acute medication i was on-that rendered me drugged up and spacey most of the time. i can recall taking Depk-within two hours i began to worry that i wouldn’t be able to defend myself if something happened. a very icky feeling.

now, i am on different medication for my mental illness-i am more comfortable and have begun laughing again, whole heart laughter, all the way down to my belly. something that feels really good and i haven’t done for a long time. when i was on Depk-and haldol i felt like a drugged up zombie, my shoulders hunched over, my walk became weird and awkward and my speech changed. something i have been reliving in my head for the past couple of months.

coming to the raw realization that i will have to be on medication my entire life is hard to take, i still hope to have kids, a stable job that i love and the ability to spend my money wisely, an issue i have had for years  due to my illness. i know when i begin to spiral now because i will either purchase an item i can’t afford or i will buy something i won’t eat.

i need to send some email, and get ready to finish up some chores back at the house.

  • Mon-days

carrrotCake cupcake monday. sitting on the otherside of the canal; it’s bright and sunny and stillMonday. yep-Monday! i am in a weird mood over some things that are going on with my transitional housing. it’s a head scratcher-i can’t decide if it’s goodVSbad? why do i dislike Mondays? things are always lopsided on mondays. sitting next to some Feisty 20 somethings is waking me up.

in college i always had Massive papers do mondays and i remember never having a weekend. saturday was a great day…i went to one of the biggest parks in the city with a feisty four legged creature and my BF. the four legged creature behaved himself, something that never happens. the four legged creature is almost 7 years, he has slowly begun to slow down. some-what.

there is one very cool aspect about Mondays. i go to my bowling league on mondays–something i have to forgo as i am in training for my new job tonight. last week i had a 135 pt game and opened my second game with a strike. bowling is a Great stress reliever. especially when one dances in the aisles after games, oh yeah. although, our alley has been taken over by hipHop and rap-from one of these Ubernew jukeBoxes.

the darjeerling limited is a great Flick! owen wilson plays the controlling older brother-who nags incessantly during the entire movie. as someone who grew up with a younger sister and way Too many male cousins, owen nails the older brother part. going to India for a spiritual journey with a poor tour guide-and going to a temple @ each stop. can’t Give away the ending, but better see it @ the theatre.

i decided to attempt to modifyand remove 2 other blog sites i began last summer before discovering wordpress, i won’t mention which-but to say that one sent me a link to reset my password that doesn’t work, the other one i can’t access and haven’t been able to cancel since May. my older blog from the last 2 years can be found on http://objectsinmirrorare.blogspotthe original title is the current Some: Times.

since, i now live next to where i work i decided to go to my favorite neighborhood of the old Norse and sit in one of my favorite coffee shops on these beautiful Friday. a few sharks showed up and had a meeting in the room i was in yesterday, one of them looked like he was straight out of a dickens movie-in his thousand dollar outfit with crocodile shoes, and tailored suit. i recently found a pair of corduroys in the transitional house i am in the donation pile, when i checked on-line how much they where worth my mouth dropped-retailing for $100* a pair, they where 2 inches to long, i grabbed scissors and cut them shorter. a Score in the clothing department.

i have also been hired by one of the Best 100 companies in the US and begin my training on sunday; should be good. i have a cool supervisor and will be working part-time which suits me just fine. i have been without work for most of the last year and it feels good to be back to work. i start working part-time; something i they told me i am allowed to do in the transitional house i am in. i am excited because i want to get my own place and-Save $ something i have had a very-Toughtime doing as it is connected to my SaDo.

knowing that my impulses may also be a sign of me spiraling i am trying to break myself of doing things on a whim. a few years ago-and up until last summer i realized how many times i had been impulsive for the wrong reasons. Wrong. including my relationships and myself. when i begin to Freak out i try to find out Why Before i do something i may regret later.

i am grateful to be in transitional housing, as it gives me a chance to figure out what i want to do in my life. since, the space is temporary i have barely taken anything out of storage, just what i have Needed for the winter season, a few sweaters, i discovered in all my visits to my storage unit that i Lost my favorite cardigan somewhere in my move.

a huge letdown as i wore it as a jacket most of last winter and was one of my favorite things i got last Christmas. i am getting ready to run a few errands and get some sun with the fall sun. a happy undercover singleton(barely…single.)
