What’s the most annoying trope in books or movies?

That can only be rescued by a heroic male figure head. I find that really annoying to read/see in movies.

Women have a higher tolerance for pain & are better warriors but in literature & movies we are dumb & incapable.

I learned in college that it’s a way of putting women in their place in society. By tradwife men who want women to stay at home.

To say that books like The Handmaid’s Tale aren’t happening in today’s society are sorely mistaken. Because it is. Women are being told that they shouldn’t do this/that. I met a man recently that attempted to try to tell me that I was a kept woman.

He knew nothing of my life but assumed it anyway. Maybe he should meet some of my male friends-somehow I don’t think he permits that in his marriage!

Boring plot lines that are too predictable is another I can’t stand. When you can foresee who the murderer is after the first 10 minutes. Yawn.
