What’s a classic book that you think is overrated?

I read it over 20 years ago & have to say it’s way overrated. It’s not all about sex like the movie makes it out to be. It’s about an unhappy woman trapped in a small town & with the wrong man. The book isn’t about female empowerment but rather about entrapment & having little or no way out.

It’s highly overrated & I’m not at all surprised by the modern take on classic, namely sex. She’s trapped & the movie doesn’t allude to this in any way. Skip the book & the movie. Read instead something else by thevBrontë sisters or Jane Austen.

What’s a thing you were completely obsessed with as a kid?

I loved My Little Ponies when I was a tween. They were my favorite & I collected them with Care Bears. I loved getting the newest & most unique pony or care bear.

I was also into music & buying my cassettes & making mixes from the radio. I spent my allowance on these three things.

There was nothing better! I loved listening to “Graceland” by Paul Simon & playing with my toys. I also liked to dance in my room so it all tied together.

What is the best concert you have been to?

The concert was amazing & the audience sang along. It was one of the best concerts I’ve ever been to. He did some old/new but blended it really well.

I think it was by far one of the best concerts I’ve been to because he did such a good job. The band all knew their cues & everything was really well presented. No one missed a step & that means they practiced. I feel very lucky that we went to his concert.

I have to mention James at the Paramount in Seattle for their Hey Ma tour. That was an amazing experience as well.
