It’s hard to find the words after what happened in D.C. A place I once knew as safe & democracy crumbled in a matter of hours. Watching it on the TV was gut wrenching & sad.

I am glad my family & friends are safe but the question remains of what will happen in the future. That’s the scary question? I just feel that the government as a whole let people down.

When they allowed him to become president in the first place. That’s why we left as we saw the writing on the wall. I wasn’t surprised by what happened, just sad that it went as far as it did.

Now, we have to sit back & wait. Scary as that is insurrection is frightening. A democracy crumbled on live television around the world.
