Parabens can, however, cause skin irritation and contact dermatitis and Rosacea in individuals with paraben allergies, a small percentage of the general population sourced from Wikipedia.
i am officially done with products & companies that use toxins such as parabens in their moisturizers, soaps, shampoo, cleansers. i went to The Body Shop in the past 6 months & discovered that Loreal has officially ruined the company. last Spring i wanted to get products from Kiehls but discovered that 90% of the products i had bought contained parabens. i have suffered from Rosacea for most of my life & have had to make modifications of my habits to avoid flare ups-however, not one dermatologist that i saw recommended that i get a moisturizer without paraben.
since, changing my diet & my habits my skin has improved & looks pretty good. i decided to invest $30 in a moisturizer from Pangea Organics & have been thrilled with the result. my skin looks good & i no longer have irritation. i discovered to my dismay after Wasting $30 @ The Body Shop that the Body Butter that i have always loved contains parabens, several in fact & for a while considered writing them a nasty email, then i thought of going into the store & thought better of it. i am disappointed that so many “Natural” skin companies are using such a toxic additive.
i have also decided to switch to a organic hair salon, as i am noticing that my hair looks better from the products i am using without the additive. the choice is a simple one, although it can be expensive but it is well worth the money & your skin will glow because you are using it. here’s a list of companies that do NOT use parabens in their formulas. happy Holiday shopping. http://bcaction.org/index.php?page=paraben-free-cosmeticspping
