What makes a good leader?

I think a great leader should be humble & listen to his/her peers. They should show grit & determination along with communicating openly. There’s no I in leadership only we. Is something I learned way back when I was doing Habitat for Humanity.

Leaders should show fairness & resourcefulness when it comes to issues. They should Never take sides but remain diplomatic in tense situations. By showing that they’re not impartial with those they’re working with shows that everyone is on the same footing.

I’ve encountered some bad leaders in my time, such as the passive aggro boss, the boss that shows up to the workplace angry & then brings down morale. The boss that expects you to work to the bone while they sit & surf the interwebs.

Granted that’s just an example of a few I’ve encountered. What makes a good boss to you? Do you have any examples of a bad boss I didn’t mention?
