It began in June when my good deed was watering my Mom’s plants in her garden. She’d been really ill in April & May so it was only natural to help her by flying to visit her & help.

I’ve also worked with the ageing population that has dementia by going to a reading group once a week. I found the hours volunteering there really touching & moving & am forever grateful that I got to do it.

I also try to do random acts of kindness. But it doesn’t give me the same joy as volunteering did. I like making a difference in my community & that’s hard to do where I live. My focus has always been to make a difference even though it can be hard sometimes. What have you done to improve their daily lives?
