My Farmor

When you think of the word “successful,” who’s the first person that comes to mind and why?

Although I’ve written about her often she’s the person I’ve always looked up to. She was a teacher & taught so many people in her town. She was also part of the Resistance during WWII & did some great stuff for the people of Norway.

She taught me as she was beautiful both inside & out to be me & to be humble. When I’d come to visit her she always take me into town & brag about me to her friends. It was a whirlwind of going from the mall to the stores.

To me it made me feel great & she’d bake cakes & invite her friends over. The stay was wonderful & I’d always cry when I’d leave her. She’s a success to me because she always helped others & was kind unless you made her really cross. Then she put her foot down. But she was a tough woman & nothing could break her.
