Trusting my gut

Do you trust your instincts?

Yes, I do explicitly as I’ve avoided some rather dangerous situations. I don’t listen to music when it’s dark outside or when I’m in town running errands.

I trust my instincts because it has shown me things I didn’t know. I had a feeling for a long time that our downstairs neighbor was entering our house. I came home several times & could feel that someone had been in our house. He’s compulsive & I kept finding my nightgown folded like paper mache. I found our house plants had been poisoned & our dog. 2 Summers ago when I came home from town.

Within a week we had put on a code lock on our door. The entering of our house stopped. I no longer trust him or want anything to do with him. As he’s also responsible for spreading false stories about us in the neighborhood.

Because of this we feel like we don’t have much of the community we were hoping for. But I’m grateful to my husband for changing the lock on the door. Something that makes me & our dog are all safe & sound.

However, I agree that trusting your instincts is hard but it’s there to keep us safe.
