What’s the coolest thing you’ve ever found (and kept)?

Over 20 years ago I was at my husband’s apartment & his Shipperkee wanted to go out early in the AM. It was summer so I threw on some clothes & took him to the park by his house. I saw some expensive water bottles & went to investigate.

I couldn’t believe my eyes, there was a wallet with $100 & €100 in it. I couldn’t find the name of the owner, no ID or credit cards, just cash. To this day that’s the most money I have found & my husband used the wallet till it finally fell apart.

We refer to it as the morning I found the Lucky Wallet. There were just bottled water bottles & that wallet.

There was another dog walker behind me but I beat them to the wallet. It made me feel very lucky. The city looked amazing from that park that morning & the air was cool & crisp.

The same day my husband took the €100 for his trip to Finland via Amsterdam. I bought my first moleskin & now can’t write on anything else. To this day it puts a smile on my face.
