There’s soo much horrible going on in the world I want to write about the mundane. Because the mundane is just as essential as the out of this world experiences.
For me I practice gratefulness everyday, like the other day when a girl sneezed & I got her a tissue. She didn’t ask me but she was extremely thankful for my gesture. In this time of turmoil we need more small gestures because they matter.
If we fill our heads with all the news & turmoil we lose sight of the simple things we may take for granted everyday. Like sharing a cup of coffee with my husband every morning, it’s my favorite part of the day. Or when the dog greets me when I come home from town. All those small things matter to keep us going.
Yes, I’m not saying that I’m not aware of all that’s happening but I’m focusing on the fact that I’m safe & my family is safe. That I can wake up in a house with a roof over my head every day. That’s what matters. As I’ve written in a prior post, home is where you’re emotionally & physically safe.
